Development of innovative design, material and equipment for 3D printing small buildings/freeform members

This project aims to develop an on-site 3D printing and machining system to address the complexity, time constraints, and quality variability associated with fabricating freeform geometries. The research presents an End-to-End framework that integrates Freeform Formwork Fabrication (F3D) and material deposition into a unified process, covering toolpath generation, equipment control, and prototype verification. The system is designed to automate fabrication using machinable materials like EPS and includes the capability to extend to mortar extrusion and layered deposition methods when required.
